Abolish mass postal voting
-
- Postal voting on demand has made our elections vulnerable to fraud, coercion, and manipulation. Voting should be a serious act, done in person, at a polling station, with full supervision.
- Postal votes must be reserved for those who are genuinely housebound or abroad for official reasons (e.g. military or diplomatic service). These must be individually verified, security-checked applications. Proxy voting may be allowed under strict regulation.
- Launch a full review into previous allegations of postal vote fraud, particularly in areas with repeated irregularities. Those found to have manipulated ballots, intimidated voters, or exploited vulnerable communities will face criminal prosecution/deportation if foreign.
- The British public must have confidence that elections are free, fair, and secure. That starts with ending the system most open to abuse. Restore trust by abolishing mass postal voting.
